Senior HRIS Analyst I

About the role

The Senior HRIS Analyst, based at Rocket Lab’s Headquarters in Long Beach, CA, will play an integral role within the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team. This role requires specialization in HRIS platforms, particularly Workday HCM and ADP payroll systems. You will engage closely with departments and stakeholders across Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, EIS, and IT to provide HRIS solutions, support, and comprehensive analysis of HR data. As part of the EIS team, you will report to the Manager of Enterprise Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of HR systems, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, EIS, IT, and vendors.
• Develop, configure, and deliver insightful reports and dashboards to provide key data and business insights.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization to drive business outcomes.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across integrated applications through analysis, clear documentation, and swift resolution of any issues.
• Design and execute system tests, respond to user reports, diagnose, and resolve issues.
• Work with benefit vendors to troubleshoot integration failures.

Requirements

• 5+ years' Workday HCM administration experience and a bachelor's degree OR equivalent years of work experience (9+ years total experience).
• Proven hands-on experience in business requirements gathering and solution delivery.
• A strong technical background with HR, recruitment, payroll, and collaboration tools (Workday experience is a must).
• Experience drafting and delivering HRIS-related documentation, including solution documents and technical/functional specifications.
• Experience with Workday’s development tools, including Workday Studio, calculated fields, and Workday Extend, to build, optimize, and maintain integrations and custom solutions within the Workday ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to articulate technical concepts and establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
• Certification or training in Workday HCM is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, business administration or a related field.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest HRIS advancements.

Work Environment

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

Pay

Base Pay Range (CA Only): $108,000 USD - $135,000 USD. Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
