Join our family at In-N-Out Burger! We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Senior Human Resources Business Partner based in our Irvine, CA office!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned Stores, highly complex Support Departments, and business leaders, addressing medium- to complex employee relations issues.
  • Make strategic management recommendations impacting team performance and coach managers to keep employees accountable for meeting goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team leaders to understand talent requirements and business goals. Drive talent review and assessments by facilitating succession and performance calibration sessions.
  • Coach business leaders on the appropriate tools and resources for team development, championing mentorship programs, leadership development, and training.
  • Prepare internal equity analysis and provide recommendations for Support leaders addressing outcomes related to job offers, promotions, transfers, terminations, and strategic management decisions impacting team performance.
  • Work in partnership with other HR functions to contribute to key HR projects, including process workflows, change management, and workforce planning.
  • Drive the strategy and lead larger projects contributing to multiple areas of the organization, such as the annual performance review process.
  • Develop insights from people data (engagement surveys, exit interviews, etc.) to inform talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Provide ongoing development, training, and mentorship for HR team members.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of HR experience; a Master’s degree in human resources or a related field is a plus.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience, with a background in providing HR support to both corporate and field-based teams.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a strategic HRBP with experience in talent development, succession planning, compensation, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach business leaders using effective communication, active listening, and motivational techniques for team development.
  • Striving for excellence and aspirational in talent management initiatives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other HR functions and departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in various project environments.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring, with the ability to drive the strategy and lead projects contributing to organizational goals.
  • Ability to influence project outcomes and gain support from key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a bias for action and a driven approach to achieving strategic goals.
  • Experience in providing ongoing development, training, and mentorship to HR team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
