Senior HR & Benefits Specialist

About the role

The Sr. Benefits & HR Specialist plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional employee experience that supports General RV's vision, mission, and values. This role collaborates with a team spanning Recruiting, Benefits, HRIS, and Learning & Development to design, administer, and continuously improve benefits and HR programs.

What You'll Do

• Take the lead on benefits and HR projects, including rolling out new programs, improving processes, and enhancing systems.
• Partner with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, streamline processes, and continuously improve the employee experience.
• Ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems, supporting strong reporting and informed decision-making.
• Support open enrollment from start to finish, including building communications, helping employees understand their options, and testing system functionality.
• Audit and review programs, identifying discrepancies, closing gaps, and recommending improvements.
• Stay compliant with relevant employment laws and ensure practices align with company policies.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives across HR operations, supporting the broader organization.
• Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and status changes, ensuring smooth operations within HR systems.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and HR Generalist roles.
• Applicable certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, CEBS) are strongly preferred.
• Experience with referenced based pricing is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of applicable employment laws including FMLA, Worker Compensation, Equal Employment Opportunity, ADA, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and independently drive tasks, projects, and solutions forward.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex HR and benefits information to employees, leaders, and cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization.
