- Involved across the full asset life cycle (design, operations, optimization, reliability and safety).
- Work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, project and health and safety teams.
- Help develop internal capabilities and technical excellence within the thermal systems team.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Design, analyze and optimize high-pressure steam systems, including boilers, headers, safety valves, relief systems and condensate systems.
- Specify, select and validate steam turbines (HP/IP/LP), their auxiliaries (lubrication, governing, sealing, vacuum) and the associated control systems.
- Carry out or oversee thermodynamic studies, including mass and energy balances, efficiency calculations, performance curves, energy optimization, transient scenarios and start-ups and shutdowns.
- Develop, update, and validate operating, start-up and shutdown, and lockout and tagout procedures for steam and turbine systems.
- Lead preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance programs (inspections, NDT, major overhauls and planned shutdowns).
- Contribute to capital projects (refurbishments, capacity increases, new steam or turbine islands and cogeneration), from conceptual design through to commissioning.
- Train and support operations and maintenance teams on best operating and safety practices.
