About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker within our Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service based at Bourtreehill Health Centre.
Responsibilities
- Working as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker within the Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service within North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership you will join our experienced team providing 24 hour care to patients who are looked after in their own homes with very complex health support needs including ventilation.
- Post holders are required to be skilled in tracheostomy care / changes, suprapubic catheter, tracheal suctioning of patients and digital stimulation of bowel management. Training and work based competencies will be provided to allow you to safely provide these skills. Therefore, the successful post holder will be a Band 2 until they have completed this training and development and then progress to a Band 3.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.
Qualifications and Experience
- SVQ 2 or relevant training and development.
- Previous experience in the care setting.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of requirements of job and basic training. Willing to undertake required competency based training.
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to carry out assigned tasks and work on own initiative.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Pay
Post 1 – 30 hours per week
Schedule
These posts are a rotational shift pattern of days / nights and weekends across all complex Package of Care patients. The posts are offered on a permanent basis.
