Senior Hardware Validation Engineer

About the role

NXP is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer for silicon validation of Automotive MCU products, covering both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases. You will ensure functionality, performance, stress, and stability through comprehensive validation.

Responsibilities

• Drive validation planning: develop and implement detailed validation test plans and methodologies/infrastructure to achieve coverage.
• Develop test cases, test environments, and automation scripts using Python.
• Utilize hardware and software tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators, and analyzers.
• Collaborate with design, DV, Analog, and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause, and resolve issues during validation.
• Document test plans, test results, and validation coverage reports.
• Develop scripts and web-based tools to automate validation tests, collect reports, and gather diagnostics data.

Requirements

• B.Tech./M.Tech. in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in silicon validation, with roles in SOCs, mixed-signal/digital ICs.
• Hands-on experience debugging interfaces such as communication peripherals, memory interfaces, and system-level validation testing.
• Expertise with pre-silicon platforms, C, script-based test automation (Python), and strong scripting skills.
