About the role
The role involves designing and developing high-quality prototypes and production parts using advanced manufacturing technologies. It includes working closely with clients to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop prototypes and production parts using 3D printing, CNC machining, and other advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on prototypes and production parts to ensure compliance with design specifications and client expectations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress.
- Document processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in prototyping and/or production part development.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with quality assurance and testing protocols.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, and casting.
- Understanding of material properties and their impact on part performance.
- Experience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering.
- Basic understanding of injection molding and mold design.
Skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation software.
- Experience with rapid prototyping technologies like SLA, FDM, and SLS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
