About the role

The role involves designing and developing high-quality prototypes and production parts using advanced manufacturing technologies. It includes working closely with clients to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop prototypes and production parts using 3D printing, CNC machining, and other advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on prototypes and production parts to ensure compliance with design specifications and client expectations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress.
• Document processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in prototyping and/or production part development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with quality assurance and testing protocols.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, and casting.
• Understanding of material properties and their impact on part performance.
• Experience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering.
• Basic understanding of injection molding and mold design.

Skills

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation software.
• Experience with rapid prototyping technologies like SLA, FDM, and SLS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
