About the role

Leads design and concepts on all Blaze branded collateral for public, member, and internal audiences. Manages Blaze brand guidelines and visually communicates brand positioning through all Blaze communications. Provides creative art for advertising campaigns including print, display ads, digital channels, billboards, social media, direct mail, promotional items, and other mediums.

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Larpenteur Administrative office in Falcon Heights, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Lead designer on all print, signage, and digital content (including member newsletter, statements, annual report, billboards, branch materials, event signage, social media, and website graphics).
  • Complete visually appealing design work, coordinating with outside vendors and departments for branded content.
  • Create logos and artwork for promotional items and specific program offerings.
  • Maintain, track, and communicate the status of all projects from initial assignments through design, revision, layout, and pre-press.
  • Maintain and execute brand standards and strategy.
  • Direct the creative process with the marketing team for promotions and campaigns.
  • Manage the process of specifying and coordinating jobs with commercial print vendors through completion.
  • Collaborate with team members and outside vendors.
  • Proof all marketing content for accuracy and compliance, serving as the lead brand content advisor.
  • Maintain a database of developed materials and content, including a DAM (Data Asset Management) tool.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent; a college degree in graphic design or a related field is preferred.
  • Four to five years of similar or related graphic design experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with digital and web design, output technology, pre-press operations, scanning, and digital processing/production prep.
  • Thorough understanding of color theory, typography, layout, branding, and iconography.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform (Mac, PC, and NTSC) color palette issues.
  • Ability to interact and respond to members, staff, and leadership politely.
  • Ability to review work, provide feedback, and guide junior designers.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to answer calls and operate a computer.
  • Ability to interact with internal staff and the public via phone.
  • Ability to travel to designated offices.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Pay

$31.93 - $43.00 hourly, plus a quarterly team bonus.
