Senior Grant Specialist

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Grant Specialist to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will support the administration of federal assistance awards across the full grant lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on pre-award due diligence, risk assessment, documentation, and compliance. The position partners closely with Grants Officers, award recipients, and federal stakeholders to help ensure funding is managed accurately and in alignment with applicable regulations. It is well suited to someone who can navigate complex assistance processes and contribute to the effective oversight of programs with significant public impact. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 annually Responsibilities Assist Grants Officers in evaluating pre-award due diligence for grants and assistance awards Conduct pre-award risk assessments according to federal guidelines Draft and prepare necessary documentation for grants Establish and maintain oversight procedures for effective assistance funding tracking Process award modifications and ensure compliance with federal terms Collaborate with organizations to resolve issues throughout the award lifecycle Support grantees with management system registration and audit requirements Qualifications 10 years of experience in the federal assistance process with a deep understanding of federal regulations and policies Proven expertise in the full lifecycle of federal assistance Familiarity with key legislative acts such as the Foreign Assistance Act and the Fulbright-Hays Act Knowledge of OMB and federal assistance regulations, especially 2 CFR 200 and 2 CFR 600 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Benefits Work in a dynamic Washington, DC environment Opportunity to impact federal assistance programs on a large scale Collaborative work setting with diverse federal stakeholders Engagement in projects with significant funding levels Varied responsibilities across the grants lifecycle, providing professional growth Potential for making meaningful contributions to international programs through grant management Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
