Senior GPU Architect
We are looking for world-class architects and software developers to join and lead our GPU architecture efforts. A key part of NVIDIA's strength is innovating in graphics and parallel computing, delivering the highest performance for parallel processing algorithms.
About the role
In this position, you will develop and enhance features in the GPU architecture that advance the state of the art in graphics, graphics performance, parallel programming models, or parallel computing performance. You will collaborate with other world-class architects and researchers to build simulators and infrastructure for designing and validating these new features.
Responsibilities
- Design new hardware features for future graphics and parallel processing architectures.
- Develop or enhance graphics or parallel processing algorithms to advance the state of parallel computation.
- Analyze future parallel programming models and their impact on hardware.
- Develop software for hardware simulators, test infrastructures, or metrics systems, including databases.
- Document, design, and develop tools to analyze, simulate, validate, and verify functional or performance models.
- Create tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure for new graphics or parallel processing architectures.
- Engage with simulators, RTL, and real silicon to drive innovation.
Requirements
- MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in GPU or CPU architecture (or equivalent).
- Strong programming ability in C, C++, Perl, and Python.
- Background in computer architecture, graphics algorithms, parallel processing, signal processing, and/or high-performance computing.
Pay
Base salary range: $184,000 – $287,500 USD (Level 4) or $224,000 – $356,500 USD (Level 5), depending on location, experience, and comparable roles. Eligible for equity and benefits.
