The Senior Google Engineer at iT1 is responsible for delivering complex projects focusing on Google Workspace administration and AI Gemini enterprise deployment across various industries.

iT1 is a leading national technology solution provider based in Tempe, AZ, recognized as one of Arizona's Best Places to Work for over a decade. The Senior Google Engineer will work closely with the sales and project management teams to deploy high-tech solutions that align with client needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units, and shared resources in Google Admin console
- Configure and optimize core Google Workspace services including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Docs, and Vault
- Deploy and manage Gemini Enterprise agentic AI platform for enterprise search, analysis, and workflow automation
- Create and manage AI agents using Agent Designer (no-code) and Agent Development Kit (ADK) for custom enterprise applications
- Implement data governance policies including data loss prevention rules in Gmail and Drive to prevent data leakage
- Configure security policies including two-step verification, password policies, and access controls to govern user access
- Manage endpoint devices and mobile device management policies for enterprise compliance
- Create and manage Google Drive and Google Calendar data stores for Gemini Enterprise apps
- Implement enterprise-grade security features including VPC Service Controls, Private Service Connect, and customer-managed encryption keys
- Articulate pros and cons of design and architecture decisions across a wide spectrum of factors
- Troubleshoot common Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise deployment issues
Requirements
- Strong technical experience with Google Workspace services, including understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to implement and deliver solutions leveraging various Google Workspace technologies
- Expertise and interest in staying current around new Google Workspace solutions and Gemini AI capabilities
- Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units, and shared resources in Google Admin console

Qualifications
- 5-8 years in a project delivery role with focus on cloud collaboration platforms
- 5-8 years of Google Workspace implementation and administration experience
- 3-5 years of experience with Google Workspace migrations from legacy email and collaboration systems
- 3-5 years of success in consulting on complex technical projects, including design and planning, implementation and deployment, and support
- Experience managing and supporting Google Workspace in an enterprise environment with 1,000+ users
- Experience administering organizational units, group policies, and resource management in Google Admin console
- Experience deploying and managing AI solutions in enterprise environments, particularly Gemini Enterprise or similar agentic AI platforms
- Experience with data governance, compliance configuration, and security policy implementation in Google Workspace
- Experience with endpoint management and mobile device policies in enterprise settings
- Proactive, process-oriented, and results-driven mentality
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Experience in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in using Google Workspace applications and collaboration tools
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, AI and machine learning fundamentals, and emerging trends in enterprise AI

Job Location
- Remote if located outside of a reasonable commute
- Hybrid if local to the Tempe/Phoenix, Arizona area
