Senior Golang Developer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Golang Developer to design, build, and release APIs supporting a containers capacity platform automation. This role focuses on implementing and adopting container technologies and best practices for automation, deployment, and configuration.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and release APIs for platform automation.
- Perform code reviews and execute DevOps functions.
- Develop controllers and tools for integrating shared services into the Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Implement best practices for container technology automation, deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
- Work with project teams to ensure proper design for high availability and failover.
- Develop and build automation tools and processes for development and production environments.
- Collaborate with a geographically dispersed team to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer building distributed enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on experience developing and delivering scalable APIs and backend services in a production environment.
- Proven experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
- Experience implementing high availability, failover, and resiliency patterns.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Go, with additional experience in Java or Python considered.
- API development experience using Go.
- Kubernetes development experience, including building or working with controllers, operators, or platform integrations.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Experience with Kubernetes platforms, operators, and controllers.
- Familiarity with cloud-managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Knowledge of GitOps, CI/CD, and deployment tools such as Helm or ArgoCD.
- Experience with service mesh and observability tools.
- Background in enterprise integrations including IAM, secrets, and networking.
- Exposure to SRE practices like resiliency, SLOs, and monitoring.
- Experience with event-driven systems, for example, Kafka.
