Senior Global Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Senior Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, tooling, and services. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, leading negotiations, managing budgets, and collaborating with suppliers and internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sourcing pipeline and benchmarking data
• Create and manage sourcing strategies and bid lists
• Analyze quotes and coordinate RFQ package components
• Align with cross-functional teams on supplier relationship management
• Manage sourcing documentation and supplier KPI reviews
• Support direct material budget activities
• Engage in supplier relationship management initiatives
• Perform change management activities
• Represent purchasing in supplier KPI reviews
• Support mitigation of supply chain disruptions

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, or product development
• Competencies: Data Judgement, Informative Communication, Relationship Management, Negotiation, Analytical Thinking, Results Focus, Workload Management

Skills

• Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related advanced degree preferred
• Commodities cost analysis or manufacturing experience preferred
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of capacity and materials management preferred
• Ability to draw conclusions from complex data and market trends preferred
• Basic engineering document understanding preferred
• Contract law knowledge preferred
