Senior Global Category Manager, Amazon Custom Modules

About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. This role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency for additional AI/ML PCBAs added to our product roadmap. You’ll manage supply chain complexity when qualifying suppliers and manufacturing lines during the transition from development to Mass Production. Additionally, you’ll deliver component multi-sourcing strategies, pricing, and enable contract manufacturing to ensure supply chain resiliency for our expanding AI/ML roadmap. The role involves leading line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development to ensure scalable PCBA manufacturing capacity at launch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PCBA supply sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
• Understand industry and technology trends to drive supplier product roadmaps and execute strategic initiatives.
• Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop negotiation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable supplier relationships.
• Provide weekly core-team updates, deliver executive-level updates monthly, and manage vendor escalations.
• Present to senior leadership via written narratives.
• Lead line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development to ensure scalable manufacturing capacity at launch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
