About the role

Daloopa is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Perform flux and variance analysis across key accounts, investigating discrepancies and identifying trends.
  • Research and apply U.S. GAAP judgment to non-standard transactions, contracts, and revenue/expense treatment, partnering with the Controller on technical research or memo support.
  • Lead in refining workflows, strengthening controls, and identifying automation opportunities as we transition off QuickBooks and onto Rillet.
  • Partner with the Senior Accountant to ensure alignment between transactional accounting and the general ledger for accuracy and reporting needs.
  • Support external audit requests and PBC preparation, maintaining audit-ready level documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase close speed, accuracy, and scalability as the company grows.
  • Take on ad hoc projects as needed, such as technical accounting research, systems work, and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or an active CPA candidate preferred.
  • 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with time spent in public accounting (assurance or advisory services).
  • A strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the full close cycle.
  • Hands-on experience in a modern ERP system like Rillet, NetSuite, or similar, with migration from QuickBooks or another legacy system.
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience supporting external audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • An ability to operate well on a lean, high-accountability team and communicate effectively with non-accounting stakeholders.
