What You'll Do
- Lead and support geotechnical investigations throughout the Myrtle Beach region
- Plan and oversee subsurface explorations, drilling programs, and field investigations
- Interpret geotechnical data and develop practical engineering recommendations
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, earthwork evaluations, and construction support documentation
- Provide engineering input during design and construction phases
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, environmental professionals, and clients
- Mentor junior engineers and field personnel
- Support project delivery while maintaining exceptional technical and client service standards
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to the continued growth of the local operation
What We're Looking For
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Experience with site investigations, foundations, earthwork, and construction support services
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Collaborative approach with a focus on practical engineering solutions
- Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
- Exposure to commercial, residential, municipal, and infrastructure projects
- Interest in developing leadership and client-facing skills
