Responsibilities
- Field data collection and analysis of soil, water, and other materials for environmental assessments
- Collect and compile geographic information using global positioning system (GPS) equipment
- Develop plans, technical reports, and/or permit applications
- Prepare maps utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software
- Regularly coordinate with government agencies regarding regulatory requirements
- Deliver presentations at public forums, conferences, and client meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Geology
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in consulting or regulatory environment
- Ability to obtain Professional Geologist License
- Ability to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites
- Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills
- Experience with ArcView/ArcPro required
Skills
- Proficiency with environmental regulations applicable to the development of transportation and other civil works projects
