Senior Environmental Geologist
Job Overview
APTIM Federal Services is currently seeking a Senior Level Environmental Geologist to support the growing project work within our Remediation business line. The ideal candidate should have a credentialled background in geology or hydrogeology with significant experience in remediation projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and implement remedial investigations and remedial actions to optimize existing remedies.
- Prepare proposals and work plans, oversee, and mentor project staff.
- Oversee the completion of CERCLA reports.
- Communicate field results and recommended actions to project managers, client representatives, and regulatory personnel.
- Mentor junior and mid-level staff, collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to company safety and quality programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the environmental field.
- Licensed as a Professional Geologist, preferably in California.
- Experience supporting DoD and CERCLA-funded projects.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with a current 8-hour refresher certificate.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Pay Range
A good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $130K-$165K. The actual compensation depends on various factors including experience, education, key skills, geographic location, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
