Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Lead and manage geological field investigations, mapping, sampling, and data collection programs, including environmental site assessments (Phase II ESAs).
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to develop accurate subsurface models.
- Oversight of multi-media sample collection and processing – soils, groundwater, surface water, vapor, etc.
- Prepare and review geological reports, technical documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Operation & maintenance of remediation facilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during field and office activities.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, clients, or regulatory agencies.
- Train and mentor junior geologists on the team.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Work Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or Geography or related.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and must be a licensed Professional Geologist (P.G.).
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects.
- A track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to environmental construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
