About The Role

We are seeking people who thrive on assisting customers with HR technology challenges and are motivated by achieving high customer satisfaction. The role involves explaining complex concepts, fostering collaboration, and delivering innovative services to maximize customer value from their Workday investment.

Responsibilities

  • Confidently and consistently provide excellent customer service.
  • Engage customers to quickly understand business requirements.
  • Share broad experience with industry practices.
  • Adapt and succeed independently in challenging situations.
  • Develop and demonstrate system configuration solutions, articulating product capabilities, plus the benefits and risks of design decisions.
  • Support multiple customers concurrently on short-duration projects.
  • Help customers become more self-sufficient, stabilize and optimize their Workday applications, and learn about new features.
  • Conduct research to understand customer questions and related Workday concepts.
  • Deliver small-scope consulting in response to customer requests, including configuration guidance, demonstrations, considerations, tips, and tricks.
  • Troubleshoot product configuration to resolve or provide optimal solutions to meet customer business requirements.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate responses and value to customers.
  • Partner with an Engagement Manager to deliver services such as:
    • Feature Adoption Workshops (facilitate customer Workday feature roadmap discussions).
    • Functional Review (tenant review with consulting services).
    • Health Check (tenant review with cross-functional consulting services).
  • Deliver additional services including:
    • Collaboration Crews (facilitate group customer sharing discussions).
    • Accelerator Webinars (create and deliver customer presentations on how to use Workday features to achieve business goals).
    • Feature Accelerator (provide one-on-one consulting guidance to accelerate customer feature adoption).
    • Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews (review customer tenants to identify adoption opportunities).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Human Capital Management software and consulting experience on medium or large enterprise HRIS projects, or applicable practitioner deployment experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with the following product areas: Compensation/Advanced Compensation/Human Capital Management.
  • 3+ years of Workday Consulting experience or experience as a Workday SME.
  • Demonstrates a solid grasp of HR-related systems and processes.
  • Able to gain a detailed understanding of Workday concepts and new feature releases in Core HCM, areas of expertise, and cross-application features.
  • Certified or ability to certify in Workday HCM Products and effectively deploy the solutions.
  • Experience with influencing, interacting, and collaborating with senior leaders, internally and externally.
  • Capable of leading and influencing design meetings toward an effective and collaborative outcome.
  • Ability to deliver and get results while managing to a project plan.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with global implementations is preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand complex, technical process issues and facilitate/influence decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Pay

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and additional locations are listed below. Pay ranges vary based on work location. This role may also be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan, a role-specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants.

  • Primary Location (USA, IL, Chicago): $122,800 USD - $184,200 USD
  • Additional US Locations: $111,000 USD - $197,300 USD
  • Colorado: $117,000 - $175,400 USD

Schedule

Our approach to flexible work combines in-person time and remote work. Team members spend at least half (50%) of their time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners, depending on the role. This allows freedom to create a flexible schedule catering to business, team, and personal needs while being intentional about time spent together.
