Senior Full Stack TypeScript Developer (Node.js & React)

About the role

Location: Chesterfield, MO, USA 63005. Hybrid work model: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Temporary full‑time position with an estimated duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast‑paced R&D environment.
• Create systems using TypeScript, Node.js, and React to interact with automated machinery.
• Design databases, develop SQL queries, and build JSON APIs.
• Provide feedback during product design and specification processes.
• Exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Gather requirements from end users; develop, debug, test, implement, support, and enhance automated system software used in agricultural research.
• Collaborate with teams in a greenhouse environment; be comfortable working in high temperatures, elevated humidity, and around plant pollen.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field (required); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a programming field, database design, or server administration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in SQL query development and relational database design.
• Proficiency in JSON API development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Full‑stack development with JavaScript and React.js.
• Node.js – 8+ years experience.
• React.js – 8+ years experience.
• TypeScript – 2+ years experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience with Git source control.
• Experience with GitHub Actions automation.
• Experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools.

Pay

Hourly rate: $75.00 – $85.00.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week.
