Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Python, React, SQL Server) & Tech Analyst
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications and data solutions. This role combines expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Python-based services, and React-based user interfaces. This individual will also serve as a technical analyst, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams to define requirements and shape the product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and React.
- Build scalable and secure REST APIs, microservices, and backend services.
- Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, schemas, and stored procedures.
- Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements, translating them into user stories and solution designs.
- Conduct ongoing engagement with business stakeholders to understand goals and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop automated testing and monitoring capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- 4-6 years of experience in requirements gathering and analysis.
- 3-7 years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, or similar roles.
- Experience with Kanban methodology.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server development and database design.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and container technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or equivalent source control platforms.
