Areas of Responsibility: Essential Functions Technical Expertise — Write clean, well-tested code across the full stack. Build highly available, business-critical services in AWS using Node.js and event-driven architectures. Translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions.Delivery — Consistently ship high-quality, defect-free code with tests and documentation. Own your work end to end — from design through deployment — with minimal oversight. Hold yourself to a high bar on code quality and system reliability.Collaboration — Partner closely with adjacent teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements and unblock progress. Communicate proactively on task status and project impact. Contribute actively to technical design reviews and serve as a resource other engineers can rely on.Team Orientation — Show up for the team. Help debug production issues, clear blockers, and improve shared systems — even when the issue isn't yours. Model the collaborative engineering culture you want to work in.Continuous Improvement — Stay curious. Desired Traits: Distinguished skills, abilities, features, character, and quality. 3–6 years of relevant full-stack engineering experienceStrong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.jsHands-on experience with AWS services, including SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS File Transfer Family, and Amazon BedrockDemonstrated ability to develop, version, and maintain applications, microservices, and APIs with clean, maintainable, and efficient codeCommitment to quality through unit and integration testing (Jest required; Vitest a plusExperience with both SQL and NoSQL databasesProficiency with Datadog for monitoring, logging, and performance analysisExperience deploying, scaling, and securing modern web applications on AWS and VercelAbility to analyze and understand existing applications across front-end and back-end layers, including reverse-engineering legacy or undocumented codeHands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools — code generation, testing, debugging, and solution design — while upholding quality and development standardsProven ability to take ownership of ambiguous tasks and projects, providing direction and driving them to completionStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and deliver on scheduleExperience with distributed systems, caching, and security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10) is a strong plus.NET development experience is a plus Compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 USD annually We'd love to hear from you if you are interested!
