Senior Full Stack Java Developer - Vice President
As part of our global technology team, you will work with a group of passionate engineers to build technical solutions that solve complex business problems. We are transforming OTC derivatives domains in Markets Technology, and you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with product teams, business users, and support teams. Responsibilities
- Utilize in-depth knowledge across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
- Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
- Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas integrate to accomplish goals
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards, including negotiating with external parties when necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency
- Effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability for those who fail to maintain standards
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in programming in Java, JavaScript, or React
- Experience building RESTful APIs using popular frameworks like Spring
- Experience working with event-driven systems, microservices, and micro-frontend UIs
- Experience using cloud services such as AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and S3
- Experience following TDD and clean code principles
- Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and SQL
- Senior-level experience in an Applications Development role
- Stakeholder and people management experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven project management skills
- Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in investment banking or financial services industry
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
Pay
$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
