About the role
This is a hands-on application development role focused on delivering technical solutions across the full Software Development Life Cycle. The position involves working on the Product Master Environment (PME), a firm-wide provider of product and pricing reference data supporting over 400 consuming applications across multiple lines of business, including Global Markets and Global Wealth and Investment Management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design solutions for business-critical components.
- Design, develop, deliver, and provide post-production support for applications.
- Collaborate with global technical and business stakeholders.
- Own and enhance the existing application stack.
- Implement changes across critical reference data applications.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Core Java.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- 5+ years of experience with Python.
- 5+ years of experience with Hibernate.
- 1-2 years of experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other LLM-based coding tools.
- Experience in the financial domain.
- A strong understanding of unit testing concepts.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Qualifications
- Experience writing optimized SQL queries.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Experience with Snowflake, including ELT, performance tuning, and security.
- Experience with Databricks/Spark, including Delta Lake and structured streaming.
- Experience integrating and modeling data from MongoDB.
- Understanding of orchestration tools like Airflow, ADF, or Cloud Composer.
- Experience with cost governance or FinOps for data platforms.
- Experience with software build and release management.
- Experience working across multiple technologies and functional areas.
- Proven experience building scalable and robust applications.
