About the role

Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform.
Develop autonomous agents that talk to sensitive enterprise data.
Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments, and has highly stringent deployment mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques.
  • Ship (lots of) fullstack code (Python and React) in production.
  • Build and deploy extremely performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications to millions of users.
  • Think like a product owner, not just an engineer — ask "should we build this?" before "how do we build this?"
  • Own features end-to-end: from understanding the user problem, to shipping, to measuring impact.

Requirements

  • Have shipped (lots of) fullstack code (Python and React) in production.
  • Excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives are a moving target.
  • Have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack.
  • Have built and deployed extremely performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications to millions of users.
  • Think like a product owner, not just an engineer — ask "should we build this?" before "how do we build this?"
  • Own features end-to-end: from understanding the user problem, to shipping, to measuring impact.

Qualifications

  • Strong opinions on what makes a great user experience and aren't afraid to push back on designs or specs that don't serve the user.

Skills

  • Fullstack development skills (Python and React).
  • Experience with low-resource environments and deployment mechanisms.
  • Ability to think like a product owner.
  • Experience building and deploying large-scale applications.
