About Matter Matter is building the first nutrition platform that pairs personalized nutrition intelligence with precisely tailored meals. Think of Matter as a personal nutritionist in your pocket (the app) speaking directly to your private chef (the restaurants). Our app learns each user's goals, preferences, and health data to provide meal recommendations based on their exact nutritional needs. By closing the loop between digital health signals and healthy food preparation, Matter makes precision nutrition as easy as ordering a meal. The Matter app sits at the center of this experience: nutrition coaching, precision ordering, AI-enabled chat and photo logging, with engagement tools to track progress and inspire action. Wearable device and biomarker integrations support a reinforcement learning cycle to better guide each user and adapt to their evolving needs. Role Overview We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer to help build the Matter consumer app: our AI nutrition coach, tracking and personalization features, and the ordering experience that connects users to our restaurants. You'll ship across the app and the backend services that power it. This role is for an engineer who is genuinely AI-forward. You use AI tools every day to write, review, test, and ship code faster, and you know how to build AI-powered features that hold up in production. You'll work on a small, high-velocity team and partner closely with product and design.
