Senior Frontend Engineer (North America)

Responsibilities

• Craft delightful digital experiences: Design, implement, and maintain front-end features using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Collaborate & communicate: Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers in an asynchronous workflow. Regularly communicate with clients to clarify requirements, demo features, and ensure we're building the right thing.
• Lead and take ownership: As a senior member, drive projects from concept to completion. Make technical decisions, outline implementation plans, and see them through deployment. Introduce new ideas and best practices that raise the bar for our front-end.
• Optimize, iterate & improve: Involve yourself in brainstorming and technical discussions. Ensure our apps are fast, accessible, and reliable. Profile and improve page load times, refine animations, and tackle browser-specific quirks to ensure a smooth user experience. Debug and fix issues, striving for robust solutions that scale.
• Mentor and learn: Guide and mentor junior developers by sharing expertise and providing constructive feedback. Stay curious and keep up with industry trends, frameworks, and standards. Evaluate new technologies thoughtfully to enhance the product or developer experience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience building digital applications.
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (e.g. React, npm, webpack).
• Fluency in CSS and a first-principles understanding of front-end technologies.
• Proven ability to craft, polish, and delight with a pixel-perfect approach to design and UX.
• An understanding of design principles and attention to details like accessibility and responsive layout.
• A quality and reliability mindset: Pride in building high-quality software, diligence in testing and documentation, and a focus on performance and browser compatibility.
• A self-driven and accountable attitude: Comfortable managing projects and time without heavy oversight, able to solve complex problems, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI and Gen AI tools and concepts.
• Understanding of backend concepts, including server-side rendering (SSR) and serverless functions.
• DevOps experience, including continuous integration, hosting, and deployment.
