Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Farsight is the agentic AI platform for financial services, designed to automate complex workflows for investment banks and private equity firms. Currently, these institutions spend 80% of their time manually preparing materials like decks, models, and pitches, which Farsight aims to streamline.

Responsibilities

• Design and build interfaces for our users to interact with Farsight’s powerful agentic outputs.
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and change-ready software stack, addressing real customer feedback quickly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop both long-term platform investments and short-term customer-facing features.

Requirements

• 4+ years of non-internship software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building production-grade, scalable web applications.
• A keen eye for user interface design, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from conception to deployment.
• Intrinsically motivated and self-critical, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, collaborating with a growing team.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience at an early-stage startup or big tech company.
• Experience building interfaces for AI or data-heavy products.
• Familiarity with financial services workflows or client environments.

• Comfort with backend or infrastructure work.

Benefits

We are based in Manhattan, New York City, and are in-person 4 days a week (except Fridays, which are remote).

Pay

Base salary: $140,000 – $170,000
