Senior Frontend Engineer – Engineering Productivity Systems
About The Team
Our team builds internal systems for the entire engineering team. Our goal is to help engineers navigate through all produced data, investigate problems, and create ad hoc analytics. Our services are used daily across the company: by QA engineers verifying component-level quality, by autonomy engineers investigating unexpected behavior, by ML teams validating new model versions, by safety analysts and data scientists who analyze thousands of scenarios and metrics to assess system readiness, and by release engineers who test our products on public roads.
About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to push the boundaries of what web interfaces can do. You will be responsible for developing several projects, such as the Simulator as a service and the fleet-tracking service. The Simulator helps engineers reproduce scenarios from real-world rides and calculate metrics, while the fleet-tracking service handles car and robot locations, their building progress, installed equipment, and configuring autopilot.
What You'll Do
- Arcitecting and implementing React/TypeScript applications for different purposes.
- Collaborating with simulation engineers, the analytics team, and operations teams to ensure robust integration and shape APIs and flows for reliability under edge conditions.
- Ship fast, iterate often, and deliver responsive, intuitive tools that boost our engineers' productivity.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of experience developing in production environments.
- Strong React and TypeScript skills—proven track record building fast, maintainable apps.
- UI intuition—care about interface design and performance, and know how to debug slow or janky UIs.
- System thinking—know how frontend fits into the bigger picture, and write code that holds up under load.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with telemetry, maps, or robotics/vehicle systems.
- Basic Python or Go skills for debugging backend issues.
