Description

The Nuclear AI Team is seeking a Senior Front-End Application Developer to support the development and enhancement of Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Search, Analytics, and Data Modernization solutions. This is a hands-on development role focused on creating modern web applications and user experiences that integrate with AI services, enterprise data platforms, and cloud-native applications. The selected contractor will work as part of an agile delivery team alongside Product Owners, Architects, AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Stakeholders. This role is intended for an experienced contributor who can independently deliver high-quality front-end solutions while collaborating closely with the broader engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support modern web applications and user interfaces.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated UI components using Angular Material and custom SCSS, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness using our internal design system.
  • Implement and extend advanced state management using NgRx (selectors, effects, reducers, actions).
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers and Back-End Developers to integrate APIs and AI-powered capabilities into applications.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, sprint execution, and production support activities.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment processes.
  • Support deployment and operation of applications in AWS environments.
  • Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices to support cloud deployments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across browsers and platforms.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and application modernization.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve software quality, productivity, testing, automation, and documentation.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience building Angular applications and familiarity with the features of the newest versions of the framework, particularly standalone components, the new HTML template flow control syntax, and Angular Signals.
  • Must be familiar with/using Angular 18+
  • 3+ years developing enterprise web applications.
  • RxJS, including a complete understanding of the Observable contract, data streams, pipeable operators, and Subjects.
  • NgRx for state management (selectors, effects, reducers, actions).
  • TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and strict linting/code quality standards.
  • HTML.CSS.
  • RESTful APIs and handling authentication/authorization flows.
  • AWS cloud services.
  • Terraform.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Python.
  • ECS.
  • Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • S3.
  • CloudWatch.
  • Step Functions.
  • Enterprise Search applications.
  • AI/ML application integration.
  • Authentication and authorization frameworks, preferably Azure AD/MSAL JWT authentication.
  • Experience supporting production applications.

Pay

$69.00 - $79.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Schedule

12-month contract with a potential for extension.
