Senior FP&A Professional | US Vacation Rental Industry

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Professional for a full-time remote role supporting a US-based vacation rental and property management company.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have a strong FP&A background with approximately 7–10 years of relevant experience, covering financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and ad hoc analysis. Direct property accounting experience is not required. However, candidates with experience in vacation rentals, property management, hospitality, real estate, or another multi-location or multi-entity business will have a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods
• Identify key business trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
• Perform revenue, expense, profitability, margin, and variance analysis
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations
• Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support business decisions
• Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses for strategic initiatives
• Analyze performance across properties, markets, business units, or entities
• Monitor and report on financial and operational KPIs
• Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Collaborate with operations, leadership, and other stakeholders during planning and forecasting
• Support cash flow forecasting and financial resource planning
• Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, templates, and documentation
• Assist with strategic planning, investment evaluations, and other special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Approximately 7–10 years of relevant FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
• Proven ability to prepare meaningful management reports and financial insights
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet deadlines
• Willingness to work hours aligned with the US Pacific Time team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vacation rentals, property management, hospitality, real estate, or a related industry
• Experience supporting a multi-property, multi-location, or multi-entity business
• Experience working with US-based companies or leadership teams
• Familiarity with property-level revenue, occupancy, profitability, and operational metrics
• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, or similar accounting and ERP platforms
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other business intelligence tools
• Experience preparing reports or presentations for senior leadership, investors, or boards
• CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA, or an equivalent professional qualification

Work Setup

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Must be available to work the night shift aligned with US Pacific Time
