Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on electric, and propane forklifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Source and order parts as needed; manage inventory of critical components.
- Collaborate with operations to minimize equipment downtime.
- Stay current with evolving forklift technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in automotive/diesel technology preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in forklift equipment repair.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric drive systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics tools.
- Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) or ASE certification highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts up to 75 pounds and work in various environments.
