Senior Forensics Assistant

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise, train, and evaluate Forensic Technicians while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Oversee autopsy support, evidence collection, identification procedures, imaging, photography, and facility readiness.
• Perform complex forensic examinations, including specimen collection, evidence preservation, radiography, photography, and post-autopsy procedures.
• Prepare case records, evidence logs, reports, and provide information or testimony to law enforcement, agencies, and court officials.

Requirements:

• One year of related forensics experience including: photographing decedents and specimens; assisting pathologists with complex autopsies using a variety of techniques to preserve medico-legal evidence; preparing decedents for autopsy examination and final disposition; receiving, identifying, and releasing decedents; and performing other forensic technician duties as required.
