About the role
The Forensic & Valuation Services Group supports clients and attorneys through investigation, financial analysis and expert testimony. Our group handles matters of Forensic Accounting, Ownership Disputes, Marital Dissolution, Economic Damages, Post Acquisition Disputes, White Collar Crime, and Estate matters among others. Forensic Senior Associates work directly with Managers, Senior Managers, Principles and Partners to analyze financial data to advance a particular matter and may have an opportunity to attend settlement conferences, hearings and proceedings, ultimately growing into an expert witness in their own right.
Responsibilities
- Assist in analyses related to forensic investigations, business disputes and economic damage engagements
- Assist in preparation of document requests
- Summarize and interpret relevant financial information and records
- Perform forensic accounting and dispute/economic damage analyses, including bank tracing analyses, lost profits analyses, and other forensic analyses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Candidate for CPA exam
- Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in forensic accounting
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Highly motivated with outstanding analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff as part of a team, or independently
