Senior Float Sales & Service Representative (Universal Banker)
About the Role
Join our branch team as a Senior Sales & Service Representative at First Citizens Bank. In this role, you will support sales and service delivery, build and expand banking relationships through proactive customer outreach, and handle customer service requests. You will be responsible for fulfilling deposit accounts, payment solutions, and digital access products, as well as identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner. This position adapts to branch needs, providing customer service in both transaction processing and sales roles.
This is a Float position requiring travel to various branches as needed.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Achieve individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to assigned metrics and goals. Align sales results with community needs and support the bank’s commitment to diverse lending.
- Engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach.
- Represent the Bank in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events to generate business and identify potential CRA opportunities.
- Use sales practices that create value for both the customer and the bank, ensuring relevant financial guidance drives informed decisions.
- Service Standards: Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects, and colleagues.
- Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities.
- Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences; address immediate needs promptly.
- Proactively optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting Bank initiatives, and leveraging tools to enhance activities.
- Operations and Administration: Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures.
- Complete required training by established deadlines.
- Perform general office management duties to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure transaction accuracy and operational efficiency for deposit-taking functions, contributing to both individual and team performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience in Sales or customer service; or 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank; or participation in a First Citizens career development program.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred Area of Experience: Telephone sales.
- License or Certification: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices and bank customers (bank car not provided).
