Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of fire sprinkler systems using specialized computer-aided design (CAD) software packages that are based on the SprinkCAD platform.
• Cook up sprinkler system piping with other building components.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards to the design and/or layout of the sprinkler systems based on the building type, construction type, hazard classifications, and architectural features.
• Communicate with AHJs, contractors, and other trades.
• Cook up with team members for listing of required materials.
• Cook up with team members for permitting and inspection requirements.
• Actively participate in predesign and review meetings.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and quality improvement.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are performed in a safe and professional manner.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
