Responsibilities
- Perform installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices, with a strong focus on fire alarm systems.
- Utilize your expertise to proctor, coach, and teach other team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Deliver reliable and top-notch customer support, offering clear instructions on system operation and functionality.
- Conduct thorough system testing and signal verification to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of equipment, tools, and necessary resources in the company vehicle.
- Make effective use of technical resources, information, and support to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- Ensure tasks are progressed and completed within defined timelines, meeting or exceeding project expectations.
- Create detailed documentation of services performed, hours worked, and task-related activities.
- Lead by example with excellent communication, both written and verbal, when collaborating with team members and customers.
- Act as a point of reference for complex field situations, identifying and implementing effective resolutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing guidance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or Vocational Training
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in fire alarm systems and low voltage installations
- Mastery of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems
- Full understanding of local and national codes, including OSHA and HAZCOM regulations
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying the National Electrical Code, state, and local construction codes
- Strong communication and leadership skills for effective collaboration and team guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screening
- Certifications/Licenses: Notifier Programmer Experience, NICET Level II Certification (fire alarm systems), preferred - not required. Relevant product certifications and licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
