Senior FinCrime Product Compliance and Risk Manager - Wise Platform

About the role

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.

Wise Platform is our product for other financial institutions or businesses that need access to payments to run their businesses and support their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product teams to define controls and interpret regulation to ensure all new Wise Platform products globally have the right financial crime controls.
  • Keep an eye on emerging typologies and regulatory requirements for the US and Canada and implement changes as necessary.
  • Understand Wise FinCrime controls and be comfortable working with both the Wise Platform team and our Global FinCrime product teams to make any necessary changes.
  • Communicate with our partners about our compliance program and expectations. Be able to empathise and incorporate feedback into our internal processes as required.
  • Identify challenges to our regulatory permissions and work to unlock growth through new licenses as required.

Requirements

  • You have a minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial crime compliance, with a particular focus on correspondent banking and/or Banking as A Service (BaAS) program.
  • You have experience collaborating with external partners, as well as internal product and engineering teams to develop a solution that is tailored for the Platform Partner.
  • You have a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and explain them clearly to stakeholders.
  • You are a problem-solver who uses regulations and data to drive business decisions.
  • You have experience working across cross border payments, with specific experience in the US and Canadian markets.
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills, and are able to present on the Wise Platform product to regulators and/or auditors.
  • You are willing to travel to Wise offices located across different countries.
  • You are legally authorized to work in the US.
