Job Summary
PACCAR is seeking a motivated Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in the External Reporting team. The role involves preparing and managing SEC filings, performing peer analysis research, supervising a reporting team, coordinating with external auditors, and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage SEC filings including 8-Ks, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, annual reports, and employee benefit plan financial statements
- Perform peer analysis research
- Supervise the quarterly and annual reporting team assistants
- Cook with external auditors during the quarterly review process and annual audit
- Responsible for lessee accounting software maintenance
- Coordinate and provide training as required to PACCAR locations on external reporting requirements or accounting policies
- Participate in documentation and performance of internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
- Assist in technical GAAP / SEC research and preparation of position papers
- Assist with the adoption of new accounting pronouncements and develop/update related policy and procedures
- Assist with future system upgrades and implementations as assigned
- Variety of projects and special analyses as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work extended hours in office during the financial reporting quarterly and year-end process
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA Certification or pursuing CPA certification
- Minimum 5+ years overall work experience and 3+ years relevant accounting work experience
- Strong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations
- Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred
- ActiveDisclosure or other financial reporting tool experience preferred
- SAP or other top tier consolidation software experience/knowledge preferred
