Senior Financial Planning & Analytics Analyst

Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis
  • Develop forecasts, financial models, dashboards, and analytics tools
  • Conduct demand and pricing analysis
  • Develop and manage long-term planning scenarios
  • Prepare financial reports, summaries, and presentations
  • Support the development and maintenance of Anaplan models
  • Develop and manage personnel dashboard
  • Budget Monitoring
  • Monitor departmental expenditures against budget allocations
  • Review budget-to-actual performance
  • Identify discrepancies and work with departments to implement corrective actions
  • Assess operational trends and financial sustainability
  • Budget Development
  • Collaborate with the Budget Manager and division leaders
  • Prepare the annual budget for assigned areas
  • Analyze data for budget development
  • Present budget information to leadership
  • Incorporate multi-year projections and scenario modeling

Requirements

  • Able to understand and comply with policies, procedures, and strict confidentiality standards, including HIPAA, FERPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, with the ability to apply mathematical concepts, analyze data, solve complex financial problems, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, learn new systems, and implement process improvements to enhance departmental operations.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of university budgets, systems and operations (preferred)
  • Able to understand and comply with policies, procedures, and strict confidentiality standards, including HIPAA, FERPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, with the ability to apply mathematical concepts, analyze data, solve complex financial problems, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
