About the role

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, and monthly close activities for device and hardware product COGS.
  • Build complex models and provide analytical support on business cases, feature tradeoffs, and infrastructure optimization to drive portfolio efficiencies.
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and finance teams to establish cost targets and monitor COGS performance trends.
  • Participate in management discussions to influence decision-making through analytical insight into profit and loss outcomes, profitability, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with functional teams to identify industry and business trends that could pose financial risks to the company.
  • Improve existing and implement initiatives, processes, and policies to increase efficiency and enable scalable growth.
  • Manage operational cadence for the hardware portfolio, including long-range plan and annual operating plan cycles.
  • Drive AI integration within workflows to reduce manual effort, improve forecasting accuracy, and automate plan inputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in management, reporting and analysis on product costing and other cost of goods sold.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools, SAP, tableau.
  • Experience working in a corporate FP&A at a fast paced/high growth technology company in hardware finance or operations space.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $141000 - $206000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
