Pay

Bay Area, California compensation: $85,600 to $128,400. Other locations will be subject to a lower range.

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst develops and produces financial reporting, models, and analysis that support the company’s supply chain and operations functions. This role partners with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Plant Leadership, Accounting, and Finance teams to evaluate operational performance, identify cost drivers, support monthly close and forecasting, and translate supply chain activity into clear financial insights.

The Senior Financial Analyst supports long-range planning (LRP), annual operating planning (AOP), forecasting, standard costing, inventory analysis, cost of goods sold (COGS), working capital, cost savings initiatives, capital project analysis, monthly business reviews, and management reporting. The role also helps evolve and improve supply chain finance processes, reporting, and analytical tools to drive better visibility, accountability, and decision support.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed financial reporting and analysis for assigned areas of the business to identify issues, trends, and opportunities
• Support month-end close and forecast process, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support long-range planning, annual planning, and monthly forecasting; develop reporting and models based on business needs
• Enhance the company’s analytical storytelling through volume, price, mix analysis (VPM)
• Support multi-entity, category, and customer structures by partnering across the finance team
• Provide ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and department support as needed
• Act as a subject matter expert for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the company’s EPM system
• Develop and deliver financial training to cross-functional teams
• Document departmental policies and procedures, as requested
• Uphold the mission of the Amy’s Food Safety and Quality Policy, including following all Food Safety and Sustainability programs and participating in required training

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or CPA a plus
• 3+ years of related experience in finance, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods or retailer environment
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Knowledge of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet; treasury knowledge a plus
• Understanding of manufacturing financials, including sales, trade, cost of goods sold, and SG&A
• Cost and general accounting experience a plus
• Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
• Proficient with MS Office Tools, especially Excel
• Experience with ERP, EPM, and/or manufacturing systems
• Ability to work independently on a wide variety of projects
• Understanding of basic supply chain management and production fundamentals
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
• Ability to transform sales, plant, and/or operations activity into financial data and reports
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Limited travel (less than 10%) is expected

Work Environment

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts; noise level is usually moderate
• Comfortable spending time in a plant environment; understanding of plant and operations is essential
