Senior Financial Analyst, Inbound Finance Insights, Analytics and Automation

About the role

At Amazon Inbound Finance, you'll bridge the gap between finance and data teams, expanding your knowledge to understand key drivers of Amazon logistics and related finance, accounting, and controllership systems and data. You'll collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data, creating meaningful metrics and tools to drive business improvement and cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Write systems queries to gather finance data and perform data-mining and analysis using tools like MS Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Conduct root cause analysis and uncover core issues using data, then assist operations team in improving their competitive position and profitability.
• Enable IB finance stakeholders to navigate data-driven solutions and datasets, ensuring they can effectively self-service their needs.
• Work with data source providers and tech teams to ensure key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely.
• Manage competing priorities and provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events.
• Organize and communicate effectively, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

Key requirements include a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, with 3+ years of finance or related analytical field experience. An MBA or CPA is preferred, along with experience in continuous improvement projects, large-scale data mining and reporting tools, and financial systems.
