Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Aid in creating and refreshing financial models associated with the Vistra development pipeline, requiring interaction with various Vistra teams.
- Execute pricing and returns analysis for marketing efforts related to the Vistra pipeline.
- Conduct scenario analyses on off-take opportunities, capital structure sensitivities, acquisition opportunities, and optimize site designs.
- Create and maintain internal and external reporting materials to track actual and expected performance metrics of the Vistra development pipeline.
- Support strategic initiatives within the company such as new market entry assessments or regulatory initiatives.
- Assist in preparing materials and presentations to present Vistra Zero investment opportunities to leadership.
- Develop strong financial models using Excel and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Experience & Skill Requirements
- At least 5-8 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of the energy industry (power and gas), particularly in renewables and energy storage development.
- A highly motivated individual with a proven track record of achievements in professional, academic, and extracurricular activities.
- An energetic, intellectually curious, strong analytical reasoning, and organized self-starter.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to summarize quantitative data and strategic considerations in charts and graphics using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, along with a collaborative work approach from peer levels up to executives.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes, meeting commitments under tight deadlines with multiple competing priorities.
