Senior Financial Analyst, AWS WWSO Data & AI GTM Finance

Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst on the AWS Specialist and Partner (ASP) Finance team, supporting the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO). WWSO provides deep technical expertise and hands-on support for customers on the AWS platform. This role sits within the Data & AI Go-to-Market (GTM) Finance team, offering exposure to AWS's fastest-growing AI and Machine Learning services—including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and generative AI—while shaping financial strategy for global customer adoption.

About the role

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence investment decisions and go-to-market strategy for transformative AI technologies. You will partner with WWSO leaders in the Data & AI space, driving business insights, governance mechanisms, and financial planning, forecasting, and reporting rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a finance partner to WWSO leaders in the Data & AI space, providing financial support and driving business insights to understand how Data and AI services drive revenue growth and customer adoption.
• Deep dive into monthly and quarterly variances in revenue and expense metrics for Data and AI services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, generative AI), providing key insights to stakeholders to inform operating strategies.
• Manage operating expense budgets for WWSO, ensuring spend remains on plan and the business stays on track against financial targets.
• Lead the maintenance and development of financial reports and advanced analytical tools to aid key decision-making.
• Drive process improvement and automation projects to scale reporting, including leveraging AI-powered tools and analytics, while collaborating cross-functionally with service finance and sales operations teams.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis, write financial documents, build comprehensive tables/reports, and support cross-functional projects.
• Gain exposure to AWS's AI/ML go-to-market strategy, including product launches, customer adoption patterns, and competitive dynamics in the evolving AI landscape.
• Partner with AI service teams and specialist sellers to understand how AI creates customer value, translating technical innovation into financial narratives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 3+ years of experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
• 3+ years of experience contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results.
• Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience supporting technology Go-to-Market organizations or a desire to transition into the AI/cloud space.

Pay

• USA, NY, New York: $73,600.00 - $128,800.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
