Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Solutions Finance

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with the Secure Work Enablement business team and leadership within AWS Applied AI Solutions to provide financial support for pricing strategy, revenue growth, cost optimization, and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to co-create business strategies, develop financial models, derive actionable data-driven insights and analytics to influence leadership decision-making to drive revenue growth and promote cost discipline.
• Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Weekly, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews.
• Lead development and implementation of the long-term strategic plan, annual operating plan, and quarterly forecasts.
• Design private pricing strategies to enable top-line growth while ensuring controllership and margin protection.
• Manage projects that significantly impact the business, including partnering with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
