Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Sales Finance

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in our AWS Industry Sales Finance team. AWS Industries is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys. Our primary goal is to meet customers where they are in their cloud journey and work backwards from their industry specific needs to transform their business and their entire industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts
• Turn insights into operational measurements
• Identify paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process
• Provide strategy support to the business team
• Influence business owners and support strategic decision‑making in a rapidly evolving environment
• Act as a self‑starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Interact regularly with executives and various business units across Amazon
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Serve as a business‑facing finance partner with strong business sense and capability to independently drive partnership at all levels of the organization

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Pay

Base salary range: $73,600.00 – $128,800.00 USD annually (USA, NY, New York).
