Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Amazon Bedrock

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Amazon Bedrock team. This role will own end-to-end finance support, including P&L management and planning for Bedrock services, and drive strategic new feature launches and process improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
  • Own the Bedrock services end-to-end and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
  • Support strategic new feature launches and ad-hoc requests, and assist in various requests from finance and business leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
  • Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
