About the role

Vaco Financial is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst position in the Richmond, VA area. This position will work closely with the VP Finance and partner with senior leadership to provide finance support to the businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of the company's operating results for senior management.
  • Create and maintain models and tools to support effective and efficient analysis.
  • Develop and maintain consolidated metrics and KPI reporting utilizing a variety of data sources including the Company's case management, payroll and financial systems.
  • Support all aspects of financial analytics to include building reports, ensuring data integrity, assumptions analytics, and variance analysis.
  • Create insightful and actionable analyses to explain and act upon significant business initiatives.
  • Develop bottoms up budget and forecasting models in partnership with operational and sales leadership.
  • Perform variance analysis communicating opportunities and anomalies to leadership in a timely and actionable manner.
  • Perform and coordinate project-based financial analysis and modeling to support capital spending, profitability, pricing, investment decisions, and productivity projects.
  • Engage in developing insightful management information reports, developing performance monitoring and metrics dashboards, and facilitating the annual operating plan.
  • Lead and execute on projects related to asset protection and capital investments, such as IT project roll outs, brand initiatives, system replacement, repairs and maintenance trend identification and analysis.
  • Keep project reporting current for analysis and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications

  • BS in Finance or related field, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment essential; strong emotional intelligence with the ability to have tact, patience and courtesy when communicating and interacting with others.
